I run a local book club. One of my favorite things is when half the group loves the book, and the other half hates it. It makes for great conversation. Keep in mind that my opinions will differ from yours. You will see 2-star ratings on books you loved, and 5-star ratings on books you thought were “meh” at best. Let’s talk about it! Leave a comment and defend your position! I won’t change my rating (see above), but I look forward to learning from you.
Please contact me if you would like an honest review. I will post all reviews directly to Goodreads. I will post links to my reviews to Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.

As a reader, I tend to be uninterested in the following –
Reserved for the books that leave me in awe. I’d aggressively (and annoyingly) recommend this book to everyone I know. The author flawlessly delivered a gripping narrative.
A wonderful book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I’d recommend this book to most people, especially those who enjoy the genre. The author delivered a gripping narrative that was nearly flawless.
I liked the book. I’d recommend the book to those who have expressed interest in the genre and/or author. The author delivered an entertaining narrative, but didn’t quite manage to execute their concept.
I disliked the book. When recommending books to others, I will steer them away from this book. The author failed to deliver on the premise of the novel, likely due to lackluster characters and a faulty plot.
These are the books that I did not finish (DNF). As a reader, I failed to connect with any of the characters and the plot failed to keep me engaged enough to push forward.
